What "Integrated" Means for Corridor Management

If the ultimate goal of ICM is to manage a corridor's transportation networks as a unified system, corridor management must be integrated in three fundamental ways. The FHWA describes it as:

The concepts, the processes, and the technologies—a culture of collaboration and mutual support; a corridor-wide operational understanding and approach; shared information and control capabilities—must all be mobilized to develop a cohesive, effective system of integrated corridor management.
